  • To provide leadership and drive within and across the groups represented, in promoting a partnership approach to meeting the needs of children and families
  • To develop and articulate evidence-based and constructive approaches to the challenges of improving life for families.

Activities:

  • Establishing policy positions held in common and, through meetings of representatives of the Family Policy Forum with Ministers and senior civil servants across government, to put over collective views
  • Seminars or working groups, when relevant, in order to develop consensus positions on topical areas of policy
  • Occasional joint conferences or other public events
  • Periodic joint statements and press releases to represent a consensus view.
