Promoting your Parents' Week event

Your local media is a great way to tell mums, dads, grandparents and carers about your Parents' Week event. Getting an article in your local newspaper or a mention on your local radio station could see more people attending your event. And it will boost the profile of your Parents' Week activities and your organisation.

That's why the Family and Parenting Institute has put together this media pack – to help you make the most of your local press to publicise your event.

In this pack you can find:

At a national level, the Family and Parenting Institute will be reporting on top issues for parents and using the Week as a focus to encourage debate in the media and amongst policy makers about how to best support families.

For additional information, journalists can contact Emma Brennan at the Family and Parenting Institute Press Office by phone: 020 7424 3460 or by email: press@familyandparenting.org Icon: Email address. Out-of-office-hours contacts are also available on this number.

And as well as telling journalists about your Parents'Week activities – we also want you to tell us about them too. We are looking for events and projects that we can showcase on our website and in our press releases.
