The Associate Parliamentary Group for Parents and Families is an all-party forum established to provide impartial, informed, and progressive debate on today's most important issues facing England's parents and families.
The APGPF:
- Allows voluntary organizations, researchers and other relevant parties to brief parliamentarians on current issues relating to family policy and proposed legislation
- Engages Parliamentarians to discuss legislation with the group
- Encourages constructive and mutually beneficial dialogue between policy makers, parents and practitioners on a wide array
- Influences the development and progress of family policy
- Develops links with think-tanks and policy units where the policy formulation process often begins
- Facilitates joint meetings, seminars and briefings with other relevant parliamentary groups and stakeholders as appropriate
Membership:
Membership is by subscription for non-parliamentarians. Voluntary organisations, academics, researchers and others may register with an annual membership fee.
