Family Voice: what families really say
![]() |
Family Voice is an exciting new venture from the Family and Parenting Institute (FPI), taking the voice of families to policy makers, politicians and the media. We want to know what you think about the issues facing families today. You don't have to be a parent to have a Family Voice –anyone over the age of 18 and living in England with an interest in the issues that affect families can join for free. We want to hear your Family Voice. |
Our current poll - Children and advertising
Our second snapshot poll deals with an issue that affects all families, especially at this time of year. In the run up to Christmas and with the commercialisation of childhood on the Government's agenda, we would like to know from you what impact advertising and marketing has on your family. We are running a short poll over the next two weeks to give us a snapshot of your views and to enable us to take families' real experiences to business and the Government.
You can find out more and take part here.
Money saving top tips for families
As part of our exploration into how the current financial situation is affecting families, we are compiling a collection of money saving tips from parents for parents and would love to hear from you. We want to hear how you and your family are coping and what tips you would share with other families. Have you changed the way you do your weekly shop? Are you saving energy at home? Have you stopped using your car for short journeys?
Please email your contributions to online@familyandparenting.org and we will include them in our list.
Our first poll – Tax credits and benefits
Following the launch of Family Voice in Parents' Week, we have had an excellent response to our first poll on tax credits and benefits. As well as contributing to the poll, many of you raised a range of issues relating to how the current systems work and how they could be improved.
